The moment this lady came into view, the warcry of all the men became WITCHBLADE!
More
|
Restraint became a thing of the past.
More
|
Witchblade, AKA Roxanna Martin, was kept up on stage longer than any other contestant.

Scary Godmother and Bug-a-Boo.
More

These costumes were created and worn by Andrea and Mark Davis.
More
|
They're based upon the book, Scary Godmother by Jill Thompon.

This Giant Robo costume was huge and created by Blair Heald out of stuff he found at a 99 cent store. He could barely move in the thing.
More
|
All the photographers had to turn around to take pictures, since he couldn't navigate the steps to get on the stage.

He did several kicks for us, without a complaint.

Another reason to regret missing the main stage. They had a skit using Buddy Lee, Klingon Warrior.
More

After the Masquerade, the stage was open. If you wanted someone to get back up for
more pix, all you had to do was chase them down and talk them into it. Guess who
stayed up there the longest?
|
|
|
Darth Maul was brought back to the stage, and a couple of other people were conscripted to
do a little bit more of an action scene.
More
|
The two Jedi's didn't appear in the Masquerade but were in the hallway outside the
photo area.

Then this great Qui-Gon (A.K.A. Tim Justice) showed up, and it was time for another round of pictures.

To paraphrase Mel Brooks, "It's good to be the Emcee"
More
|
Robert Trebor, who plays Salmoneus in Xena and Hercules was the Emcee for the show.
Here, he's looking a bit too smug.
More
|
Ahh... it's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.

Back to Boba Fett.

As you can see between these three shots, his targeting computer changes position, automatically with the position of his gun.

A costume to be jealous of.

Robert quickly jumps into the picture.

"Raise your leg" someone asked. Robert quickly obliges.
More
|
"Oh, you mean her?"
More

She won the Most Beautiful trophy. Bit of an understatement.

Another player who wasn't part of the Masquerade.
More
|
When I finally realized that I had been seeing this guy at the con for several years, I chased him down
and asked him to jump up on stage.

In 1998, he came as The Shadow.
