This year, there was actually a reason to take pictures on the day before the Con opened. Wednesday was preview night, were anyone who was pre-reg'ed for all four days could get a sneak preview (and first shot at buying the good stuff). I heard from a couple of the vendors on the floor that they had better sales in those few hours than on Thursday or Friday.

What's the deal with painting cars with characters that don't even use cars? More

Obviously, the Marvel Comics Booth. (Yes, when I collected comics, I was a Marvel Mutant Zombie. They even printed my name in the very small print in the back of one of the comics.) More	Sci-Fi Channel Booth. A nice place to sit down for a bit and watch some Sci-Fi channel shows. I only wish they had brought the episodes we had missed because we were at Con and not at home. (Yes, I know how to work my VCR. But I never find the time to watch what I tape. I had one show on tape for over 5 years before I gave up and just taped over it.) More

This year, due to some of the Convention Center expansion being ready, the main convention room was expanded (by about 20%, I'm guessing). And it's STILL crowded! I had heard that they still couldn't supply enough floor space for all the dealers that wanted some. This picture was taken from one end at my camera's regular resolution.
