My Guide to the San Diego Comic Con

Just in time for Comic-Con: International, a new hotel has just opened up. And best of all, it appears to have rooms available.

If you're still in desperate need of a room, check out the Hotel Indigo, San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. It looks like there's rooms available from about $400/night on up.  Which is pretty good for a last minute Comic-Con room.

I've updated my list of hotels that the Comic-Con's travel agency will have available.  The new hotels are:

• Best Western Hacienda Hotel Old Town
• Courtyard San Diego Mission Valley/Hotel Circle
• Hilton San Diego Bayfront
• Hotel Solamar
• San Diego Marriott Mission Valley
• Westin Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego
• Westin San Diego

Hopefully, someone will find these useful, especially the maps.

With only two days before hotel registration starts, the room prices are finally up.  And it's about freakin' time.  Not only is the hotel registration over a month later than previous years, again, we're only given the prices at last minute.

 To say I'm not happy is an understatement .  Especially after last year's Talk Back where they said they wanted to make it earlier.

Anyway, four day passes sold out last week, some four months earlier than last year.  Things are already heating up for this years con.

What a Con! I had a lot of fun, and was actually able to get some images up during the convention. But I took more pictures (1,585 of them) than I could reasonably process and still get some sleep.

So currently, you can find pictures for Preview Night and Thursday already up. More will be coming soon.

Update 8-5-08: Pictures for the Masquerade are up, 352 of them. No more updates for a couple of weeks as I head to GenCon.
