My Guide to the San Diego Comic Con

This year I didn't take any pictures the day before the Con.   Nothing exciting caught my eye. 

On the day before the Con, if you have pre-registered, you can pick up your badge holder (if your badge was sent in the mail) or both the badge and badge holder (if not).  While this might seem a silly thing to do, it's a pretty good idea, if you can find the time. They usually open up the booths about 5 pm and there's always a line waiting (see last year's line) but it goes really fast. If you show up about 15 minutes after, the line will just about be gone and all you'll do is walk in, get your badge, your bag of goodies, and most importantly, your program guide. You now can (try to) plan your whole weekend. I usually go to one of the local restaraunts or such and pour over my stuff.
